Overview
The Director will lead the technology strategy, architecture, and innovation agenda across organisations. This role drives digital transformation, strengthens data and AI capabilities, and builds partnerships that enable scalable and sustainable technology adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy and Roadmap
- Develop and execute a sector-wide technology and data strategy.
- Drive digital, data, and ops-tech initiatives with clear outcomes and scalable implementation models.
- Establish governance, standards, and capability programmes that support long-term execution.
Technology Architecture and Solutions
- Define the sector's technology architecture, including core systems, shared data infrastructure, AI tools, and frontline operational technologies.
- Build partnerships with technology providers to develop scalable and cost-effective solutions.
Innovation and Ecosystem Development
- Lead innovation hubs with service providers, technology firms, and partners.
- Identify high-impact use cases and accelerate adoption through funding mechanisms, sandboxes, and streamlined procurement pathways.
- Develop strategic partnerships to support long-term capability building.
Leadership
- Lead a small team focused on technology strategy, product development, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Strong track record in digital transformation and innovation leadership.
- Experience in ecosystem building, stakeholder engagement, and organisational change.
- Degree in technology, business, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
- Experience in system integration, cross-platform data initiatives, and AI solution deployment.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as IoT, robotics, and assistive technologies.
