Director Information Technology Infrastructure
Role Overview
The Director, Digital Workplace & Infrastructure, leads the organisation's Digital Workplace & Infrastructure team to deliver and integrate organisation-wide workplace technologies. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to drive workforce transformation, optimise operations, and ensure secure, reliable, and cost-effective digital infrastructure and applications across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in digital strategy, work planning, and execution to enhance organisation-wide workplace technology standards and services.
- Drive collaboration across internal technology teams to support the smooth rollout, adoption, and ongoing support of enterprise workplace technology products and services.
- Oversee effective and efficient on-site operations and support for common desktop, network, and productivity platforms.
- Review central programmes and initiatives to identify opportunities to streamline workforce models and improve operational efficiency.
- Align departmental workplans with broader organisational objectives, engaging senior stakeholders to understand needs, influence direction, and support technology decision-making.
- Partner with business units to plan and deliver unit-specific IT initiatives (e.g., modern workplace upgrades, digital enablement workshops), ensuring clear prioritisation and timely delivery.
- Lead planning, stakeholder engagement, and onboarding of new departments to the organisation's workplace technology services.
- Manage staff deployment to meet operational and project requirements, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources.
- Develop, coach, and mentor staff; identify high-potential talent; and build a motivated, high-performing team capable of supporting evolving workplace technology needs.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in operational leadership within large-scale IT, digital workplace, or transformation environments.
- Strong track record in field operations management, workforce transformation, and service delivery.
- Experience in enterprise-level IT infrastructure or technical services is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and deliver change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong familiarity with IT governance, enterprise architecture, and/or programme management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong security, reliability, and risk management mindset.
- Prior leadership experience in complex or structured environments such as large organisations, public institutions, etc. is advantageous.
