Application Support Engineer- Treasury Systems
This role is responsible for providing Level 1 and Level 2 support for Treasury applications, including those used for Asset and Liability Management (ALM), Risk Management, Data Management, and Trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality technical support to ensure application availability, performance, and stability.
- Proactively monitor systems and conduct health checks to identify and prevent issues.
- Own incident resolution end-to-end, coordinating with various IT teams as needed.
- Investigate and manage recurring problems through structured problem management processes.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of fixes and enhancements to production systems.
- Comply with change management procedures to implement changes with minimal risk.
- Stay ahead of regulatory and compliance requirements, and contribute to process improvements.
- Perform scheduled operational tasks such as disaster recovery testing, access reviews, and audit remediation.
- Maintain and update internal documentation and support knowledge bases.
- Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions across global teams.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including business users, project teams, and IT partners.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on quality service, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Work in rotational shifts (7 AM-4 PM or 10 AM-7 PM), including occasional Saturdays (with compensatory time off).
- Be available for after-hours support when required.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting Treasury, Risk, or Banking applications, including liquidity and market risk systems.
- Familiarity with multi-tier applications and both physical and virtual server environments (e.g., VMware).
- Understanding of financial products and markets.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and infrastructure support.
- Knowledge of automation tools and a process improvement mindset.
- Strong grasp of ITIL best practices in Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Technical experience with Linux, Oracle, MS SQL, Autosys, ITRS, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in scripting and/or programming (e.g., SQL, Java, Python).
- Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and IT operations.
- Experience with enterprise middleware, messaging platforms, and Java application servers.
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
