Senior C# Developer
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Engineer at Scale: Design and develop high-throughput, multi-threaded trade processing systems that handle millions of transactions daily.
- Own the Stack: Take end-to-end ownership of trade lifecycle systems-from design and implementation to monitoring and support.
- Drive Innovation: Continuously improve performance, fault tolerance, and latency in mission-critical post-trade services.
- Make Decisions: Operate with autonomy, making impactful decisions while managing risk across distributed systems.
- Collaborate Globally: Work across time zones with engineering teams in the UK, US, and APAC to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
- Balance Speed and Quality: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing hands-on development with second-line support when needed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Background:
- 8+ years of professional development experience in enterprise environments, with deep focus on C# and .NET Core.
- Proven track record building distributed, service-oriented systems for high-performance environments (preferably trading or post-trade).
Technical Expertise:
- Expert-level skills in multi-threaded programming, object-oriented design, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience in event-driven architecture and working with enterprise messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS.
- Solid experience with AWS, particularly serverless services like Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Comfort with DevOps tools including Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Octopus Deploy or similar CI/CD systems.
- Familiarity with microservice patterns, API design, and observability best practices (metrics, logging, tracing).
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in post-trade workflows (e.g., allocation, confirmation, clearing, and settlement).
- Knowledge of financial market structure and regulations (e.g., FIX, MiFID II, DTCC integration).
- Exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS).
