Application Support (Murex)
We are looking for Murex Application Support!
This is for you if you are a highly technical and analytical individual with strong knowledge of trading systems, particularly Murex, and a solid understanding of FX Cash and Commodities
Responsibilities
- Murex MX3/G2000 Expertise:
- Focus on FX Cash and Commodity modules.
- Provide Level 2 production support for Murex systems, especially related to FX and commodity trading desks.
- End-to-End Production Support:Handle incidents, track them to closure.
- Engage in problem management, especially for recurring issues.
- Participate in change and release management for production systems.
- Vendor Interaction and Collaboration:
- Attend weekly Murex vendor calls and follow up on action plans related to issues and problems.
- Trading Desk Support:
- Support FX Cash, Derivatives (FXO, Precious Metals, Base Metals), and associated trading desks.
- Ensure smooth support for end-to-end processes like price quoting, trade confirmations, settlement, and P&L tracking.
- Risk & Reporting Support:
- Provide support for electronic trade risk reporting, trade confirmations, and P&L analysis.
Requirements
- Murex Systems:
- Knowledge of Murex modules such as FX Cash, Derivatives, and Risk Analytics.
- Experience with MXML, workflows, pre-trade rules, simulation, market data feeds, yield curves, and pricing.
- Core Technologies:
- Proficiency in Java, JBPM, Sybase, SQL, scripting, and scheduling tools.
- Familiarity with UNIX and Windows environments.
- Other Tools:
- Experience with monitoring tools like ITRS and familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management).
- Market Knowledge:
- Understanding of capital markets, trading life cycle, risk, and P&L reporting for traders and financial control.
- Vendor and Communication:
- Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, provide updates, and document incidents effectively.
- A highly technical and analytical individual with strong knowledge of trading systems, particularly Murex, and a solid understanding of FX Cash and Commodities.
- Experienced in managing and resolving incidents, as well as managing the lifecycle of production support in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Additional Requirements:
- Shift Work:Availability to work in shifts (7 am to 4 pm) as well as weekends on a rotational basis
